Can I use VinHkE without installing VinApp?
Yes. Most of VinHkE works without VinApp; the Vin integration matters for structured workouts.
Recommended steps
- VinHkE runs inside native Ride and does not need VinApp for its fields, data, alerts, or Pit Board.
- The Vin integration matters for the workout: the widget can run the workout of the day synced if you have VinApp installed.
- VinApp on Karoo is the full Vin app; VinHkE is the extension. They can coexist.
- VinApp on Karoo reads Karoo's sensors transparently.
- Smart trainer control is only possible from VinApp, not from VinHkE.
