Feelings and metrics
On the trainer you sweat much more because there is no real airflow. A fan can completely change the session.
Recommended steps
- Use a fan whenever you can.
- Have a drink ready before starting.
- Do not compare indoor heart rate with outdoors without considering heat.
- If heart rate rises a lot, lower intensity.
- Ventilate the room if possible.
- After long sessions, replenish fluids and salts if needed.
