When to update FTP

  • Review FTP if workouts are consistently too easy.
  • Review FTP if you cannot complete reasonable sessions.
  • Update it after a test or a clear training block.
  • Do not change FTP every day because of one isolated bad session.
  • Consider fatigue, sleep, and stress before touching it.
  • Make moderate changes and observe over several workouts.
