What is VinLite Clock mode?

Trainer and modes

Clock mode plays a soft tick-tack sound while you train. Its purpose is to help Chrome keep the session active when you change tabs, minimize the browser, or use the computer for something else while you keep training with VinLite.

Recommended steps

  • Enable it if you are going to watch a video, browse other pages, or leave VinLite in the background while training.
  • Clock mode plays a very soft repeating sound to reduce the chance that Chrome puts the tab to sleep or throttles its timers.
  • It does not modify the workout, does not change the target power, does not reconnect sensors by itself, and does not affect activity saving.
  • Although it improves stability, the final behavior may depend on Chrome, the operating system, power-saving settings, and the Bluetooth trainer.
  • If you use FTMS/ERG, VinLite tries to resync the target when you return to the tab, but there is no absolute guarantee when the browser or OS throttles background work.
  • For the most stable experience, keep VinLite visible and prevent the computer from sleeping.
